Welcome to Grand Targhee Resort

Grand Targhee Resort is a year round mountain resort situated on the western slope of the Tetons in Alta, Wyoming, accessible only through Teton Valley, Idaho.   Our abundance of light powder snow (more than 500 inches annually) and virtual lack of lift lines creates an uncrowded skier and snowboarder paradise, continually recognized for our great snow, genuine western hospitality, scenic beauty and excellent value.  One of only a handful of US ski resorts to offer guided snow cat skiing, Grand Targhee reserves 602 acres every winter for powderhounds on the snowcat.

Grand Targhee Resort is renowned for a family-friendly atmosphere and draws families from around the US looking for a fun and intimate ski vacation destination. Our Kids Club prioritizes an individual approach, and our Ski and Snowboard School staff are dedicated to improving the quality of our guest experience.  Our Nordic Trail System offers 15 km of groomed track for touring and skating, and offers the longest Nordic season in the region thanks to our elevation and early snowfall.  Guests can learn more about native wildlife, flora and fauna by joining our Resort Naturalist on daily snowshoe tours.

Located in Caribou-Targhee National Forest, Grand Targhee Resort is also a western summer adventure playground, offering horseback riding, mountain biking, swimming, hiking, fly fishing as well as two world-class music festivals: the Annual Grand Targhee Bluegrass Festival and the Annual Targhee Fest. Surrounded by fields of wildflowers and the best views of the Tetons, Grand Targhee Resort is a perfect location for destination weddings, family reunions and group events. With proximity to Yellowstone, Jackson Hole, Grand Teton National Park and Teton Valley, Idaho we are the perfect base camp for a western adventure vacation in the Tetons.

Cradled in the western slope of the Teton Mountains, our full-service, year-round resort promises you the vacation of your dreams. We have two mountain peaks with over 2,500 acres of skiable terrain. We are famous for our consistently superb snow conditions with over 500 inches annually.
