Grand Targhee Resort Going Smoke Free!
Grand Targhee Resort is committed to creating a healthier community and environment for all visitors and employees. This commitment takes a significant step forward this summer when the Alta, Wyoming, full-service resort proclaimed the entire base area to become smoke free. This enhanced smoke free policy goes into effect Sunday, June 1st with the resort’s official summer operating season scheduled for Saturday, June 21st.

W.A.R.W.S. Crowns Grand Targhee Resort “Wyoming’s Best Tasting Drinking Water in 2008”
Grand Targhee Resort’s drinking water was recently honored for serving the best tap water in the state of Wyoming by the Wyoming Association of Rural Water Sytems. “Our resort is fortunately located right in the heart of the Tetons which results in pristine wells created from the mountains’ snow melt and rain run-offs,” says Ron Overson – Resort Water Treatment Operator.

Grand Targhee Resort’s Food & Beverage Operation Shifts Focus to Sustainability
With the rising costs of food and fuel, it made sense to Grand Targhee Resort’s Food & Beverage Director, Jeff Stokholm, to embrace the idea of sustainability. “Not only does focusing on sustainability include reducing environmental impacts and promoting social justice, the effort is also about reducing costs through energy conservation and waste reduction,” said Stokholm.

1st Annual Targhee Tee-Off
Grand Targhee Resort, in conjunction with efforts from Rob LaPier (local head youth free-ski coach) and the IFSA, will hold its inaugural Junior Freeride competition off the North face of Peaked Mountain.

Annual Anheuser-Busch Spring Snow Games
The Bud Games will once again be celebrated on the slopes of Grand Targhee Resort March 14th-16th. The weekend kick-off begins at 4:00 p.m. on Friday the 14th with an après ski party in the Trap Bar with hors d’oeuvres, compliments of Anheuser-Busch, and music by regional favorite “Derrik and the Dynamos.”
