Grand Targhee Resort

Sustainability

When you live in the spectacular place we do, you tend to want to take good care of it.   Thus, we are committed to incorporating the best environmentally sustainable practices into all of our operations. A good example: All of our lifts run on “green power” – a renewable energy generated from green hydroelectric power out of the Island Park Dam and Reservoir on the Henry’s Fork of the Snake River, Idaho and wind power from Bonneville Power Association.  In addition, we are using bio-diesel to fuel our resort shuttle buses, groomers and snow removal equipment.

Our partnership with the U.S. Forest Service has grown over the years to embrace four season activities that include horseback riding, wildflower hikes, winter ecology snowshoe hikes, mountain bike riding, backcountry tours, interpretive evening programs and more. Federal Lands

Grand Targhee Resort would like to introduce you to an important global life concept that affects your present, your future and future generations. Think of it as a life protecting journey, whose baton is passed on to all those who follow us. Grand Targhee Sustainability Charter
