New Year's Eve Torchlight Parade & Fireworks

Join us for a Grand Targhee New Year's Eve tradition, The Children's Glowstick and Adult Torchlight Parades.  Participation is open to kids 5-14 who possess basic stopping and turning skills and usese non-toxic glow sticks.  The Adult Torchlight Parade is open to intermediate/advanced skiers and riders age 12 and older.  The adults use roadside flares and older clothing is recommended.

Targhee Torch Light Parade 2009

Participation is limited, children age 5 to 12 years please register before 4:00 pm at the Ski School cabin.  Meet at the Ski School cabin at 4:15 pm and prepare to load the Shoshone lift at 4:30 pm.

Participants age 12 and up are to meet at the Ski School cabin at 4:45 pm for registration.  Roadside flares are used in the adult torchlight, participants are encouraged to wear older clothing.  The adult torchlight will start at approximately 5:30 pm (once it is dark).

A special fireworks display will immediately follow the Torchlight Parade on New Year’s Eve.
