Funds raised are critical and pay for training, veterinarian care, courses and dog food. GTK9 avalanche dogs are trained, fed and housed by each individual handler. Handlers spend countless hours and personal time working to train and certify each avalanche dog. All GTK9 dogs are certified to international standards and are tested annually. Dog Teams are not only a resource at our local ski hill but are also a valuable resource to our mountain community in Teton Valley Idaho, working in cooperation with our local Search & Rescue efforts.
