Grand Targhee Resort recently ranked in the Top Ten for Best Snow, Best Value and Best Backcountry Access in the 2010 SKI and Skiing Magazine Resort Awards. The awards are determined by information gathered from an annual reader survey for each magazine.
Grand Targhee Resort ranked in the Top Ten for Best Snow in both magazines. SKI Magazine readers ranked the ‘ghee #3 for snow
, and Skiing Magazine named Grand Targhee #6 for snow
“This marks the 13th consecutive year that we have placed in the top five for best snow in SKI Magazine’s annual Resort Awards,” said Grand Targhee Resort Communications Manager Shannon Brooks Hamby. “Our 500-inch annual snowfall average is well-known among passionate skiers and snowboarders, but it’s also the consistency of our snowfall – the way the storms come in typically refreshes our snow on a regular basis – that makes us one of the best resorts for consistent snow in the country.”
SKI Magazine readers also awarded Grand Targhee Resort a Top Ten rank for Best Value (#9)
“Our lack of lift lines, great snow, uncrowded slopes, reasonably priced season passes, and season-long deals on lodging and lift tickets do create a great value for local, regional and destination guests,” said Brooks Hamby. “This winter we’ve introduced additional savings for our guests with a NEW $19 full day lift ticket for kids age 6 to 12, a reduced adult half day rate ($49) and the opportunity to book a 4th night of lodging for free as well as a 30% lodging discount if booked by October 15, 2009. We will also continue the very popular Targhee TwoFer weekly deal this winter. The new DEALS section on our website will be the best place for guests to research the best values at Targhee this winter.”
