A message from Grand Targhee's Ski and Snowboard School's Adaptive Program Coordinator, Becca Reynolds:“Everyone’s story is different. Some participants come to spend time out in the fresh air. Others come to ski as a family, or because they miss the adrenalin rush of past adventure sports. But what I look for in each individual is the same. I look for their strengths and build upon these as we work to reach every participant’s particular goals.” -Becca Reynolds, Adaptive Program Coordinator Description of our Program:Our adaptive program is designed to create ski and snowboarding opportunities for individuals with a disability or in need of special assistance. We utilize special equipment and teaching techniques to make every experience fun, successful and safe. We guarantee a one-to-one student teacher ratio for all adaptive lessons. We build each lesson around the unique goals and needs of the student. To facilitate this, we begin each lesson with a student assessment and indoor equipment set-up. This takes approximately thirty minutes and is a necessary step toward success on the snow. We recognize the important role adaptive sports can play in bringing families together, and are more than happy to work with families to make this a ski together experience. Adaptive Lessons:
Adaptive lessons include a qualified instructor, lift ticket and all adaptive equipment (including skis, boots, and helmet). Reservations are strongly recommended. For lesson information or reservations, please contact Becca Reynolds at 1-800-TARGHEE (827-4433), ext 1352 or by email. Adaptive Lift Ticket Rates: Special Thanks to our Partners: Teton Adaptive Sports, Yostmark, and all the generous individuals that have supported our program. Support: If you are interested in becoming an adaptive volunteer or supporting our growing program please contact Becca Reynolds, Adaptive Program Coordinator, 1-800-TARGHEE (827-4433), ext 1352 or email.

It's Guaranteed!
We strive to offer the best in ski & snowboard school programs. We guarantee that you and each member of your family will have fun and improve your skills, or your lesson cost is refunded. It's as simple as that.
Whether you are a first-time-ever skier or you simply want to tune up that powder technique or perfect that parallel turn, we are here for you. Recognizing that each student learns at his or her own pace, we'll build your confidence and help you have more fun on the slopes – guaranteed. But hey, don't take our word for it. Here's what you had to say: "I've always wanted to ski off trail at Targhee but was a total chicken. My instructor Deb (truly a miracle worker I may add!) introduced me to shaped skis and with some helpful hints on how to maneuver in the un-groomed snow; now I am flying through the stuff. Lost Groomer's Chute here I come!" Meg Horgan, Plymouth Meeting, PA "I thought I was a good powder skier until I spent some time refreshing my technique with Tuffy. It's amazing how much better I'm now skiing all conditions, in any terrain!" Max Scarborough, Austin, TX "Targhee has some of the best beginner terrain of any resort we've visited. I especially love that you have such cool terrain features for kids and lots of room to maneuver. " Kelly Campbell, Boise, ID |
