One of the hallmarks of the Grand Targhee experience is a Snowcat Adventure on Peaked Mountain complete with breathtaking views of the Grand Teton. For you and just eleven other skiers or riders, a huge powder reserve of over 600 acres and up to 20,000 vertical feet in a day awaits. Come follow our professional guides through expansive bowls, gladed cruisers and steep tree pitches, with breathtaking views of the Tetons all around – one of the greatest thrills in North America and the best cat skiing in Wyoming. We ask that all riders are of at least an intermediate level, able to link turns in all conditions and should be comfortable riding in trees and able to avoid natural obstacles. If you are unfamiliar with powder ski techniques an intro to powder through the Grand Targhee Ski School can prepare you for a great day out on your Snowcat Adventure.

Advanced reservations for Snowcat Adventures are required. Please call the Activity Center at ext. 1355. Check-in begins at 8:00am with base departure at 9:00am Full Day or 1:00pm for Half Day guests.

Snow Guarantee and Cancellation Policies

Our Super Snow Guarantee applies to our Snowcat Adventures too; if you are not satisfied with conditions for any reason after your first run, you may request a snow check good for another day during the same calendar year. A $50 fee will be taken from the credit. Snow check has no cash value and is not transferable.

Grand Targhee reserves the right to cancel trips at which time a full refund will be given to guests. Cancellations made by guests 14 days or more before the trip will be 100% refunded. Cancellations made less than 14 days before the trip will be refunded the full amount, less a $50/seat cancellation fee. Cancellations made seven days or less will be charged 50% of the trip price. Cancellations or "no shows" the day of the trip will be charged full price of the trip. Full payment is required to guarantee reserve of your Snowcat Adventure.
