BYU Idaho Lesson Program
This 8-week season pass and lesson program is offered through BYU-I in Rexburg. Students register through Outdoor Resource Center at the University. Participants receive 8 one-hour lessons and a season pass. All levels of Skiing and Snowboarding lessons are offered.

Availability And How To Book
Availability:
- Lesson Dates: January 15 – March 5, 2022
How to Book:
- Enrollment fees are paid through BYU-Idaho. Students will register through Outdoor Resource Center at the University.
- Please retain the voucher issued, it will be required to collect the season pass at the Activity Center at Grand Targhee Resort.
- Lessons do not require advance bookings. Just check in to your preferred 1-hour lesson time (12.30pm – Beginner/Novice, 1.45pm – Intermediate, 3pm – Advanced) every Saturday between January 15 – March 5, 2022
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy:
The program is non-refundable and non-transferable. Any missed lessons will be forfeited. Pass-Protection is not applicable to this Season Pass.

Check-in Information:
- SEASON PASS:
- Collect your pass at the Activity Center with your photo ID and voucher.
- Please sign our Winter Activities Liability form in advance to expedite the process.
- LESSONS:
- Check-in with your instructor by the Rock-Climbing Wall 15 minutes ahead of your lesson’s start time.
- BYU Season Pass must be collected prior to taking the first lesson.
Ability Level
ABILITY LEVELS
LEVEL 1: FIRST TIME BEGINNER
- First-time Skier or Snowboarder. Never been on skis or a snowboard.
LEVEL 2: BEGINNER CARPET AREA
- Students have skied or snowboarded once or twice but have not mastered stopping and turning or the chairlift. Likely riding the Papoose Conveyor, but not riding the chair lift yet.
LEVEL 3: NOVICE
- Students are skiing or snowboarding on green slopes and riding Shoshone chair lift. Students are able to stop independently. Snowboarders are exploring linking turns and skiers are linking basic turns.
LEVEL 4: INTERMEDIATE
- Students are mostly parallel skiing or linking turns snowboards on blue slopes. Building skills on tougher blue slopes.
LEVEL 5: ADVANCED/INTERMEDIATE
- Students ski & ride confidently on blue and black slopes, on and off-trail. Skiers are making strong parallel turns. Snowboarders are linking turns confidently. Can vary turn sizes and competent in various snow conditions.
