Women’s MTB Camp with Pro Rider Amanda Carey – Level 2

Skill Level:

Level 2 Camps are designed for intermediate and advanced riders who have previously taken a Level 1 Camp with Amanda or who are more advanced riders, looking to push their skills beyond basic fundamentals on intermediate to advanced terrain. Although each camp is custom tailored for the riders in the group, skills such as high speed cornering and switchbacks, technical climbing, technical descending, and all the advanced skills you need to ride more advanced terrain will be addressed (wheelies, small drops roll down lunges, etc.) Lift passes included in camp cost. Curious if a Level 2 Camp is right for you? Please contact Amanda directly at amandacarey1@gmail.com or 307-413-1998.

About Amanda:

Amanda was a professional mountain bike racer from 2008-2015 and was the National Ultra Endurance Series Overall Champion in 2010 and 2011. Although she found great success as a mountain bike and cyclocross racer, her true passion lies in coaching. Amanda is a certified Level 2 IMBA skills instructor, a PMBIA Level 2 Air certified instructor, has a master’s degree in sports psychology and is the team director of the local high school mountain bike team. She lives in Victor, Idaho, where she can be found enjoying the unparalleled mountain biking trails throughout Teton Valley. Join her this summer at a Grand Targhee Resort Women’s Mountain Bike Camp for an exciting weekend of improving your mountain biking skills–but get ready to leave hooked!

Her approach:

In these camps, Amanda’s goal is to empower riders to push their own limits on their own terms. She breaks down and explains each skill in a way that is understandable, targeted, and approachable. She strives to build rider confidence by helping riders progress at their own pace. And, above all, Amanda is all about providing a fun and safe environment for women to learn, try new things, and–most importantly–enjoy riding dirt more than ever!
