View Grand Targhee as a Naturalist

Whether exploring the Bannock Trail, taking in the sites throughout Rick’s Basin Trails, or meandering to Mary’s Saddle after a scenic chairlift ride, there are ample opportunities to enjoy the flora and fauna found throughout Grand Targhee Resort. Located at the top of Fred’s Mountain, however, awaits an opportunity to take your exploring to the next level. Stop by the Summit Nature Center and spend some time with lead Resort Naturalist Brigid Sinram and her dedicated team.

Offering daily (FREE!) Nature at Noon programs, a weekly bird watching hike, and specialty group tour options, the Naturalists are the eyes and ears of Grand Targhee’s unique ecoystem.  ‘We are always excited to pass along knowledge of the Caribou-Targhee National Forest and it’s eco-systems’.  From daily blooms, critter sightings, and where to hike, the Naturalists are a wealth of knowledge to help make your excursion even more memorable.

“We enjoy discussing the blooming wildflowers and critters that help make Grand Targhee so special,” Brigid says. “Stop by and spend a scenic afternoon with us on the summit of Fred’s Mountain!”
