October Snow!

We hope you enjoyed the summer and got a chance to explore the trails. The mountain biking at Grand Targhee was incredible this summer and Andy’s new trails were a huge success! Pierre’s Hole, The Grand Enduro and the Wydaho Rendezvous Teton Mountain Bike Festival were bigger and better than ever!  It’s hard to believe that summer has come and gone and fall is here. Well is it really fall?

The first cold snap always seems to fall in September with a small dusting of snow. Octobers can go either way. Last year we were riding our bike through the end of the month enjoying crisp days and amazing fall colors. This October is starting out with powder turns! Well, you do have to hike to earn them, but if you have been jonesing all summer then this is your chance.

It started snowing Monday, October 3 and has not really let up here at the mountain. This week has brought 27″ of snow! As the Blackfoot towers lay dormant in the lower lot, the crew is pushing snow so they can get back to work.

The view from the Peaked cam still shows snow coming down like it is officially winter! The predictions are out for winter and if it holds true, we could be looking at above normal snowfall! Read more at OnTheSnow.com What kind of winter are you hoping for? This winter you will definitly have to make a trip to Grand Targhee Resort! #WinterIsComing
