What are the hours for the Dreamcatcher chair lift?

  • 8:00am – 5:00pm
  • Open for scenic chair rides only, NO DOWNHILL MOUNTAIN BIKING
  • Scenic chair lift tickets must be purchased in advance
  • If you hike up, you may NOT ride the chair down
  • Season Passes will NOT be valid op August 21, 2017
  • Downhill bike trails will be CLOSED on August 21, 2017
  • Guests who purchased lift tickets may download after 1:00pm or you may hike down
  • Infants and children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and must have a valid lift ticket (Babies can be carried by an adult in a “snuggy” backpack)

Where is Will Call?

  • Will Call is at the Activity Center or ticket booth in the Main Plaza. The ticket booth opens at 7:00am on Monday, August 21.
  • RV, Camping & Parking Pass Will Call is located at the main entrance to Grand Targhee Resort.
  • Scenic Chair Lift ticket Will Call is located at the Activity Center prior to Monday, August 21, 2017. Beginning Monday morning, Ticket Will Call will be at the Ticket Booth in the plaza.

Where is the First Aid Room?

First Aid is located in the bottom level of the Rendezvous Day Lodge.

Where are the restrooms?

In the Rendezvous Day Lodge, bottom floor, behind the stairs.

Where can I get water?

In the Rendezvous Day Lodge. Bottled water is also available at the General Store.

Where do you report lost kids?

At the First Aid room, located in the bottom level of the Rendezvous Day Lodge.

Where is Lost and Found?

At Teton Mountain Outfitters.

Where is the ATM?

In the Arcade, the main level of the Rendezvous Day Lodge.

Tickets:

How much are children 12 and under?

$45. Guests of all ages must have a valid ticket purchased to ride the chair lift on Monday, August 21.

Can I get a refund on my scenic chair lift ticket?

Tickets are non-refundable

What if I have a Season Pass, Bike Pass, or Pool Membership?

  • All passes will be blacked out on Monday, August 21, 2017.
  • Pool memberships will be blacked out on Monday, August 21, 2017.
  • If you wish to view the eclipse from the top of Fred’s Mountain, but did not purchase a lift ticket in advance, you may hike up, but cannot ride the chair lift down.

Camping:

Where do I go for camping?

South end of Parking Lot 2, look for the white tent and camping coordinators.

What are the camping ages?

Ages 6 -12 are considered children. Ages 13 and older are considered adults. Children 5 and under are free.

When does camping open?

11:00am on Friday, August 18.

Can I purchase one night camping?

The camping rate is the same for one night or three nights. Yes, you may purchase a camping through online, or through Central Reservations.

Can I reserve a camping site?

Campsites are first come; first serve with pre-purchased camping tickets. Limited spaces will be sold on-site at the camping check-in.

Where do I get my camping pass?

At the camping check-in.

What are the camping facilities like?

Portable toilet facilities, showers and drinking water available near your campsite. There are trash and recycling receptacles located near all campsites. Please recycle. Be mindful of your fellow campers and lodging guests. Be respectful in regards to noise after 10:00pm.

Does everyone in my group need a camping pass?

Yes, camping is sold per person, not per site. Each person camping is required to have a camping pass meaning each person sleeping in an RV, Tent or under the stars is required to have a camping pass. Campsites are first come, first served with pre-purchased camping tickets. Camping is non-designated and tent camping or RV’s. All recreation vehicles must purchase and RV pass and will park in lot #4 or where designated.

What are the different camping options?

General camping for tents is off of Parking Lot 3, small campers are directed to the meadow near the horse corral, and tent camping is also available in the family zone (below Teewinot Lodge, down the Sacajawea access road). NO CAR CAMPING in the main parking or camping zones without a camping ticket. – Strictly enforced.

Please DO NOT camp or park on the trail system.

Where is RV camping?

North side of Lot 4 for larger RV’s (22 feet or longer). Smaller RV or Pop-up campers are directed to the meadow near the horse coral. RVs are measured by trailer length, not including the hauling vehicle.

Are there hook-ups?

No.

What do I need to do with my food?

Food must be stored in bear resistant containers (enforced through the Caribou-Targhee National Forest) or in hard-sided vehicles.

Is there after hours check-in for camping?

Yes, at the Front Desk in Lodging Check-in.

Can I build a fire or use a grill to cook food?

No open fires, fireworks or SMOKING in the campground. Gas grills and stoves are OK.

Are there trash and recycling receptacles near the campsites?

Yes.

Are there showers?

Yes, there are limited showers for campers.

Solar Eclipse Site:

What will be available up at the summit viewing area?

No food and beverage options will be available at the top of the mountain.  We recommend that you bring your own snacks and water. There will be porta potties available at the summit.

Can I bring my bike into the festival site?

No. The downhill Bike Park will be closed on Monday, August 21.

Where can I get a schedule or hours of operation?

At the Activity Center or Front Desk. You can also ask any Grand Targhee Resort employee and they will assist you will any questins you may have.

What can I bring up to the summit viewing area?

Anything that can fit on your lap when riding up the chair lift, or whatever you can pick up and out on your back hiking up. We strongly recommend a blanket to sit on if needed, closed toed hiking shoes, sun protection, and a rain jacket in case of weather.

Can I bring in a blanket or umbrella?

A blanket is recommended if needed to sit on at the summit viewing area. If you are able to pack the umbrella in a pack, and keep in on your lap during the chair lift ride up then they are allowed.

Parking

Can I get up Ski Hill Road to the resort without a ticket?

Yes, but we strongly recommend purchasing a parking and/or camping pass in advance. If not, you will need to purchase a parking and/or camping pass at the front gate. Spaces are VERY LIMITED. If we are sold out, you will not be able to enter.

Will there be a public shuttle on Monday, August 21?

No.

What is the parking fee at the Resort?

$20 per vehicle at the Resort. Price will increase to $30 if purchased the day of Monday, August 21.

Who has to pay for it?

Everyone, unless you have a room booked at the resort. There is ONE free parking pass per lodging room.

Where do I purchase a parking pass?

Online or through Central Reservations. Day of, you can purchase them at the entrance to the resort if we are not already sold out.

Is there overnight parking?

Yes, but only if you have a camping ticket or are staying in lodging. NO CAMPING IN YOUR CAR WITHOUT A CAMPING PASS.

Activities:

What activities are available?

The climbing wall, disc golf, hiking, horseback riding, Grand Targhee Mining Co., and the bungee trampoline.

Where do I go to sign up for the activities?

Activity Center.

Are there any activities for children?

Any resort activities are great for children.

Where can I buy lift tickets?

Solar Eclipse Scenic Chair Lift tickets are SOLD OUT.

Recycling & Composting

What does Grand Targhee recycle?

All glass, aluminum, plastics #1 and 2, tin and cardboard. There are recycling receptacles located throughout the resort.

Fire & General Info

What can I expect?

The weather varies from very warm to very cold, sometimes in the same day. Bring your shorts and your winter clothes. Usually the ground is dry, but sometimes we have a late spring and there is a little mud in places. Wear sunscreen, hats, and drink water. We are at 8,000ft and you want to take extra precautions at this altitude. A lot of people bring their whole family, there is fun for everyone. Grand Targhee Resort offers many additional recreational opportunities that will be open during the festival some of these activities include; horseback riding, climbing wall, disc golf, scenic chairlift rides, hiking, cross-country mountain biking and downhill mountain biking.

Pet Policy

  • We encourage you to leave your pets at home or at a local kennel.
  • Pets must be directly supervised by an adult at all times while at Grand Targhee Resort.
  • Pets must be on a leash or tethered at all times. Do not tie your pet to trees, posts, fences, tables or other resort structures.
  • Pets are not allowed in buildings.
  • We encourage you to take your pet on daily outings. It is acceptable to leave your pet in your trailer/motor-home as long as it is not a nuisance to your neighbor.
  • Pets may not be left unattended in locked vehicles.
  • All pet owners are responsible and expected to pick up and dispose of pet waste. Failure to do so will result in a verbal warning and removal from the resort grounds.
  • Pet Waste Stations are Located:
    • In the Trees in Lot #2.
    • In Front of the Targhee Lodge
    • In Lot #4
