The 2018 Course

Ride in awe as you take in the incredible views of the Grand Teton and it’s colorful wildflowers, on a course designed to challenge your endurance, mental, and physical strength. Beginning and ending just off the main plaza, this year features enhanced single track routes and a 99% unpaved surface. You’ll have the option of racing the 100 mi (3 laps), the 100 Km (2 laps) or the Men’s and Women’s 50 Km (1 lap). The course will be marked with blue directional arrows and course tape after July 30th if you’d like to check it out.

1st lap

The race begins as you head out the Powder Reserve Traverse Road, where you’ll go left and climb Peaked Trail on to 38 Special. Enjoy the descent and turns on 38 Special before climbing up Rocky Mtn Way to Buffalo Soldier and heading back to the base area on Action Jackson. As you enter the base area you’ll race across to Green Horn Trail before heading towards the Shoshone lift. After Shoshone, you’ll have ample opportunity to pass on the service road out to Rick’s Basin Loop. Once you’ve navigated Rick’s Basin, you’ll head back on the fun turns of Yogi, through the music venue, and back to the start/finish line.

2nd, 3rd Laps

Those taking on the next two laps will first take Andy’s Trail before riding around to Peaked Trail. Make sure you jockey for position here as this is mostly single track. From the top, the course follows the same route as Lap 1, so you’ll already be experienced with the lines.
