WINTERSPORTS PROGRAM

Wintersports is a lift and lesson program offered through participating schools.  Participating schools include Discoveries Preschool, The Learning Academy, Alta School, Star Valley High and Middle Schools, Swan Valley schools, and all of the schools in Teton County Idaho District #401, including grades K-12.

Lessons are either 2 or 2.5 hours long depending on age group. 3rd grade and below sessions are 2.5 hours, 4th grade are 2 hour sessions.  Entire Alta and Learning Academy schools are the 2.5 hour session length option.

GREATER IDAHO FALLS AREA HOME SCHOOLERS 

Grand Targhee Resort is offering homeschoolers throughout eastern Idaho a unique opportunity to join our Wintersports lesson program.  The program includes group lessons, lift tickets and an optional equipment rental with each visit.  The lessons are taught by the PSIA/AASI certified Grand Targhee Ski & Snowboard School at a terrific value.

Participants pay for the entire 5-week program in advance.  No refunds are allowed if students miss any scheduled days.  However, students are offered a 50% off discount on any Grand Targhee group lesson for any days which are missed.

LESSONS AND RULES:
  • All participants must be at least 6 years of age on the first day of the program. 
  • All Lessons are taught by Grand Targhee Resort Ski & Snowboard School professional staff.
  • Lessons are 2.5 hours.
  • First-time beginners will not be accepted after the second week of the program. 
  • All students must obey the rules of Grand Targhee Resort as well as know and obey ‘The Responsibility Code.’ 
  • All participants’ parents must sign a liability waiver.

WHILE GRATUITIES ARE NOT A REQUIREMENT FOR SKI AND SNOWBOARD INSTRUCTION, THEY ARE BOTH APPROPRIATE AND VALUED BY YOUR INSTRUCTOR. TYPICAL GRATUITIES ARE 15-20% OF THE COST OF THE LESSON/CAMP.
