Grand Targhee Nature Center
Visit the Nature Center and chat with one of the Resort Naturalist to learn about the local wildlife, geology, ecology, and our local Ghee-cology. The resort naturalists have all the up to date information on what’s blooming and what critters have been recently seen around the resort.
Nature at Noon
Explore the summit with a Resort Naturalist while taking in the scenery on a short nature hike along the summit trails. This daily guided hike meets at the Summit Nature Center at noon and will continue along Fred’s Mountain with Teton views while you learn about the local landscape.

Daily Nature at Noon tours last approximately 45 minutes to one hour and is led by one of our Resort Naturalists. Nature at Noon is great for all ages and levels.

Grand Targhee’s Environmental Program seeks to educate the public about the ecology and conservation of our unique alpine environment and to advocate the stewardship of Grand Targhee for recreation, healthy forests, and wildlife habitat. Naturalist education programs provide alternative recreational activities at Grand Targhee and strive to inspire guests to become involved in the conservation of our environment.
