2024 Pierre's Hole 50/100 Mountain Bike Race

Pierre’s Hole, once known for fur trade in the Northern Rockies, has always been a test of endurance, fortitude, and strength. For over 10 years, the Pierre’s Hole 50/100 has provided an incredible experience to everyone who has raced in this epic journey. The racecourse views are breathtaking, the singletrack is better than ever, and you will be tested by the rugged terrain that makes riding on the west side of the Teton Range so spectacular. The entire race is held at Grand Targhee Resort, where ample lodging and amenities await racers and their families.

Numerous classes in both 50k and 100k distances are available. Sweet swag bag for all participants and cash prize for podium finishers.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

  • All racers must start in their listed start time or risk being DQed.
  • Please remember, your safety is our priority. Any racer who drops out along the course during the race, should get word to a race official that they have dropped out and are ok. 

AID STATIONS

There will be 2 feed zones along the course and will be in the same spots as previous years. 

  • Aid Station #1: At the end of Planet Claire on entry road to resort.  This is approximately 15 miles. 
  • Aid Station #2: Just at the bottom of Shoshone, approximately 20 miles.
  • Racers can drop off coolers and bags at each aid zone before they race. 

Food @ Aid Stations will include things like: water, chips, gummy bears, bananas, watermelon.

BIKE WASH

We will provide Bike wash is located by the top of the music venue just before the start/finish line.

RACER CHECK-IN

  • Friday, August 2nd from 3:00pm - 6:30pm
  • Saturday, August 3rd from 6:00am - 8:30am

Racer info and check in will be held in Wild Bill's at Grand Targhee. During check-in, Racers will receive bike plates, timing chip and swag bags along with answering any questions regarding the course and race.

CUT OFF TIMES

100K - starting second lap -noon.

AFTER RACE LUNCH

A lunch will be served in Wild Bill's, free for racers. Racers family can purchase additional tickets for $16 at the dinner line. Food will be served from 11:30 -4:00pm

CAMPING 

Camping can be purchased beginning March 1st. Please call 1-800-TARGHEE and mention Pierre’s Hole 50/100 or register online HERE. Camping will be available at Grand Targhee in the lower parking area. Camping is available Friday-Sunday for $40 per night per campsite for the event. All dogs must be on a leash in the camping area and around the racecourse during the race. Tent and RV are the same price, kids 18 and under camp for free, purchase online or at the Lodging Front Desk. Showers will not be available this year.

Date

Uphill access is now open until further notice. Please review our uphill policy and remember that the resort is closed. You are skiing at your own risk. 

The snow access at the base area will be limited due to ongoing construction projects. The recommended uphill route is the Teton Vista Traverse. Active heavy equipment, winch cables and other dangerous equipment will be on the mountain, so please ski with caution at all times.
