At Grand Targhee, we believe everyone deserves the chance to experience the joy of skiing and riding. Our Adaptive Program helps eligible guests enjoy more time on snow with the support, equipment, lessons, passes, and lift ticket options they need.

Adaptive Mountain Sports School Programs
The Grand Targhee Adaptive Program creates skiing and snowboarding opportunities for individuals with physical, intellectual, or cognitive disabilities. Lessons are tailored to each guest and may include mono-ski, bi-ski, three-track, four-track, visually impaired, or hearing impaired instruction.

How to Book

cHeck-In
Your instructor will have contacted for your meet time and location. If you have not confirmed a time or place with an instructor please check in with the Mountain Sports School Office 15 minutes prior to lesson. Our staff and instructors will meet you there to complete the check-in process and lesson meet and greet.
If you require a private setting for gearing up please let your instructor know and they will direct you to our Adaptive Cabin. If the participant requires private personal assistant to getting ready for the outdoors the chaperone will be the one to assist.
Please sign our Winter Liability Waiver in advance. All students must have lift ticket or season pass ready.
Guests under 18, or any guest with legal guardianship over them must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to sign a release form if it has not already been completed online
cancellation policy
Cancellations made at least 72 hours in advance will be charged a $25 processing fee per lesson. Cancellations made within 72 hours of service date, or no shows will forfeit the total cost of the lesson. Every effort will be made to reschedule individual lessons with 72-hour advance notice, change is subject to availability. An additional fee may apply for lesson changes.
PROGRAM SERIES
- The Program Series lessons must all be for the same participant.
- Minimum of 4 HD lessons purchased this season, 1 lesson available per week on a program purchase.
- Blackout/Holiday dates: 12.24.26 - 1.3.27, 2.12.27 - 2.15.27

Adaptive Season Passes
who qualifies?
Adaptive Passes are available for guests with a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities, such as walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, breathing, learning, working, caring for oneself, or performing manual tasks.
Visual impairments: Guests who are legally blind, from 20/200 vision in the better eye through total blindness, qualify under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). A physician’s diagnosis is required. Wearing corrective lenses alone does not qualify as a disability under ADA standards.
What to bring
To save time, email your documentation in advance to seasonpass@grandtarghee.com, or bring it with you to the Grand Targhee Season Pass Office when you purchase your pass.
If you’re buying in person, our team may also be able to validate eligibility through visual observation of a disability or the use of a powered mobility device for a mobility disability.
Helpful documentation options include:
- Driver's license noting eligible restrictions
- America the Beautiful Access Pass
- Certification from a private Vocational Rehabilitation or other counselor stating the need for accommodation
- Documentation from a State Vocational Rehabilitation Agency counselor
- Other state-issued proof of disability
- Letter or record from a federal government agency reflecting disability status
- Letter or medical documentation from a physician or other qualified medical professional requesting accommodation

Guide Tickets
If an Adaptive Passholder needs a guide, one discounted guide ticket may be purchased each day, per Adaptive Pass. The guide must be with the Adaptive Pass holder when purchasing the ticket and while skiing or riding on the mountain.
Adaptive equipment
Guests using adaptive equipment should contact the Adaptive Program before their visit. Our team can help inspect equipment and make sure you’re set up for a safe, successful day on the mountain.
