25/26 Season Recap

25/26 Winter: a story of resiliance.

After a difficult winter for snowpack in the west, Targhee managed to persevere through closing day.

When the winds finally shifted, the snow showed up. Targhee is known for average annual snowfalls over 500". However this winter, only 333" of snow fell throughout the season, which led to a late opening and early closure of the Sacajawea and Colter lifts. But, thanks to our high elevation base area, some help from Mother Nature and a fantastic Moutnain Ops team, we still managed to have some amazing turns this season.

Targhee showed out in Italy

Grand Targhee athlete Jaelin Kauf became the most decorated female Olympic mogul skier in history after winning two silver medals (3 total) at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games. While Jaelin raced for glory on the world stage, her family and friends sported her signature J all around the resort and Teton Valley. We celebrated her return in style on closing weekend and welcomed Jaelin back to her home mountain.

The Targhee Clip Challenge was Insane!

We teamed up with Mammut to hold our first-ever social media challenge! The Targhee Clip Challenge gave incredible skiers the opportunity to show their best moments in 20 seconds to win a full Mammut kit and a 26/27 Winter Season pass. This year's winner, Brahm Jacobsen, submitted the most unique clip with a massive three, pow slash, and huge backflip off Rock Chuck just to tie it off. While three other honorable mentions made it tough to choose, his clip proved to show off what it means to ride Targhee to the max. Oh... and we didn't forget about the riders who made it close, so we awarded each of the three athletes a $100 gift card and a T-shirt to show our appreciation.

The Targhee Treasure Run

The Targhee Treasure Run brought the mountain to life for closing weekend, with huge crowds of skiers and their families joining in on the fun. From first chair to the final raffle, the energy was high as participants searched the mountain for hidden surprises. The day wrapped with an exciting raffle, where a few lucky winners walked away with some incredible prizes, including season passes and guided trips with WorldCast Anglers. It was the perfect mix of adventure, community, and celebration to cap off the season. Thanks to everyone who came out and made the Treasure Run one to remember.

Here's to another incredible season at the 'Ghee

Through cold smoke and low tide, the Targhee community continued to show that skiing still rules. Every day, employees and riders alike wake up before sunrise to be up at Targhee. This mountain wouldnt be what it is without everyone who cares for it. For that, thank you for another amazing season in the Tetons!

Grand Targhee is CLOSED for the winter season. We reopen on June 12th for summer operations!
