Local Activities

The Teton Valley and surrounding area are where the Wild West lives on. Teton Valley is just a short 15-minute drive from Grand Targhee Resort and is home to great local food with plenty of unique ways to spend your day. Take a leisurely walk through Driggs or Victor to visit the numerous outdoor stores, art galleries, and shops. Spend a day over the hill at one of our National Parks, take in the National Museum of Wildlife Art across the street from the National Elk Refuge, or bounce around the town of Jackson Hole.

Members of the public have reported multiple bears feeding on a carcass near Colter's Escape trail. Colter's Escape is closed, but this is a timely reminder that bears can be encountered anywhere on the mountain and are especially active late summer and fall in preparation for winter
