We Open for the summer season on June 17, 2022.
Grand Targhee Resort’s on-site camping allows for adventure-filled mornings! Campsites are conveniently located adjacent to our cross-country and hiking trails
Our Parking Lot Camping area is perfect for larger pull-behind trailers, smaller pull behinds, sprinters, and camper vans. We have limited pull-through options for larger vehicles. Vehicles and trailers must not exceed 25 ft in length. If vehicles do exceed 25 ft two spots must be purchased.

Summer Camping Information
- Maximum capacity per site: 6 persons with 2 tents + 2 personal vehicles | 1 tent + 1 Self-contained vehicle + 1 personal vehicle | 1 Self-contained vehicle + 1 personal vehicle.
- Additional personal vehicles will be charged $10 per day. All vehicles in space must be registered with your reservation. Maximum number of persons may not exceed 8, and maximum number of vehicles may not exceed 3 per space.
- Camping permits must be hung from your rear-view mirror, taped to the windshield or tent – it must be visible at all times.
- No showers, electrical, water, or waste hook-ups are available.
- Pack out everything you packed in; trash, recycling, wastewater, sewage.
- You are in bear country! All food items: pet food, coolers, grills, dirty dishes, and trash must be stored in a closed vehicle when not in immediate use.
- Bathroom services are available in the base lodge from 7:00am – 7:00pm.
- Quiet hours are 10:00pm – 8:00am, no generators are permitted between these times.
- No open campfires or charcoal grills.
- Gas grills are allowed but must be stored inside vehicle when not in use.
- Dogs must be on a leash while in the camping area. Please clean up after your pet.
How to Book
We are very excited that you will be camping with us. Before you start the booking process, online or through our reservations team at 307-353- 2300 ext. 1800, please read our camping terms and conditions and gather the following information:

You may email this information ahead of time to reservations@grandtarghee.com to expedite your booking process through the call center.
Check-in Information
Guests must be 18 or older to check-in for a reservation. Check-in process can only be completed by the person(s) outlined on the reservation. Valid government-issued photo ID, credit card, and vehicle information are required to check-in. You may check-in any time after 4:00 pm. Check-out time is 3:00 pm.
- Check-in is required prior to parking.
- Camping spaces will be assigned upon check in.
- The Front Desk is open 7:00am – 10:00p
- Pre-purchased lift tickets can be picked up at check-in.
- Use of pool area and fitness cabin requires an additional charge
Cancellation Policy
Full payment is due at the time of booking. Cancellations made outside 24 hours of arrival date will be refunded less a $25 processing fee. In the unlikely event you need to cancel on the arrival date you forfeit the entire cost of your stay. All cancellation fees will be applied per camping site.
Grand Targhee Resort reserves the right to modify reservation policies without prior notice. Reservations may be canceled by Grand Targhee Resort, for any or no cause or reason. In the event of cancellation by the resort, reservations will be re-booked, relocated, or refunded in full. Notice (which may be sent via e-mail) of cancellation will be provided.
RESERVATION CHANGES
The following changes will be permitted outside 48 hours of arrival date based on availability:
- Arrival date change: Date changes are permitted with no penalty, but new rates may apply. New stay dates must be chosen within the same season.
- Shortening the length of stay will incur a $15 fee.
- No changes will be permitted within 24 hours of arrival. No-shows, early departures, and unused nights are nonrefundable. Leniency can be made in case of severe weather.
