Mountain Report

Conditions Update

Light winds, cold temperatures, and steady snowfall lined up overnight to bring 6 inches of incredibly light snow to the Chief Joe plot. That puts snow density around 2%—some of the coldest Teton cold smoke we’ve seen all season.

Clouds will be slow to break up today with temperatures holding in the teens, helping preserve soft conditions across the mountain. Winds remain light this morning before calming even further this afternoon, setting up a classic mid-winter feel on the hill.

Looking ahead, skies may clear a bit tonight before clouds return tomorrow with a slight chance of additional light snowfall and highs climbing into the low 20s.
