Q: Where can I buy Festival Tickets?

A: Buy tickets here.

All advanced sales are available online only. Limited quantities are available. Purchase your ticket in advance to guarantee your spot. There is no guarantee tickets will be available to purchase day of. 

Tickets are non-refundable, but can be transferred to another person. There will be options for 3-Day and single day tickets. 

Q: WHERE CAN I PICK UP MY FESTIVAL WRISTBANDS WHEN I ARRIVE AT THE FESTIVAL?

A: If you purchased a 3-day festival pass or single day ticket, please head to the Ticket Booth in the main plaza.

If you purchased camping and a 3-day festival pass, you will get your wristband for the festival and camping when you check in for camping at the entrance to the camping area on the west side of the resort.

If you purchased camping and a single day ticket, please check in for camping and then head to the Ticket Booth in the main plaza to pick up your festival wristband. You may only pick up your single day wristband on the day you purchased for. For example, if you arrive to camp on Friday, but only purchased a Saturday ticket, you may pick up your wristband on Saturday.

Q: what kind of payment will you take inside the festival venue?

A: We will prefer credit card payments, but cash is accepted. 

Q: I CAN'T MAKE IT ANYMORE, CAN I TRANSFER MY TICKET TO SOMEONE ELSE?

A: Yes. In the event you are unable to make it, you may transfer your ticket to someone else directly through the TicketSignUp app or website.

camping & Parking information

Q: Can I reserve a campsite?

A: Yes, you must reserve camping in advance. No camping will be sold onsite. Camping will go on sale on 2.21 at 10:00am along with Festival tickets through the TicketSignUp platform. 

Q: CAN I HOLD CAMPSITES OR RESERVE A SPOT NEXT TO A FRIEND?

A: No. Camping locations in each zone are first-come, first-served only. If you want to camp next to someone specific, please book the same zone and plan to caravan to the resort together so you are in line for camping together. We cannot guarantee camping spots next to certain people and campsite will not be held. 

Q: HOW MANY PEOPLE FIT AT EACH CAMPSITE? 

A: We are focused on providing the maximum number of campsites for the festival. Please help us with this by abiding by the max numbers of guests and vehicles.

  • Walk-In Tent Camping: 4 guests/1 vehicle
  • Undesignated Meadow Camping with car: 1 vehicle, price listed is per person
  • Undesignated Meadow Camping without car: 0 vehicles, price is listed per person
  • Parking Lot 20x30 Camping: 6 guests/2 vehicles, price listed is per site
  • Parking Lot 20x40 Camping: 6 guests/2 vehicles, price listed is per site
  • Parking Lot 20x65 Camping: 6 guests/2 vehicles, price listed is per site

Trailer and vehicle used to tow count as one. Personal vehicles count as a separate unit. 

20x65, 20x40, and 20x30 sites allow only ONE camper or RV, the second vehicle may not be a second camper towed behind a vehicle or another RV.

Note: Our Meadow camping sites are not leveled and have a dirt access road. It is the responsibility of the camper to assess safe access/exit to and from their site. Should any vehicles need assistance to remove themselves from the area, the camper will be responsible for contacting a tow truck service. Grand Targhee Resort is not responsible for towing vehicles out. 

Q: How do I check in for camping?

A: All camping areas open up Thursday 8.8.24 at 12:00PM MST. 

If you booked a site, you will receive an email confirmation code. Please have this available for check-in. The same QR code will be used to check in each person in your party. Please try to arrive with your entire party, additional vehicles will not be allowed in to drop items off at a campsite.

  • As you approach the entrance to Targhee, those with camping passes will be directed to line up in the lot 4 loop on the south end of the resort.
  • You will be checked in there and then instructed to drive down towards the camping area.
  • Please follow instructions from our camping and parking team as they direct you to your designated camping location.
  • You may check-in any time after 12:00PM on Thursday 8.11.24. Check-out time is 11:00AM on Monday 8.14.23.
Q: I DON’T HAVE A PARKING PASS, WHERE CAN I PARK?

A: If you have not purchased a 3-day parking pass, there will be NO ON-SITE PARKING for the festival. There will be free parking at TETON HIGH SCHOOL with shuttles running regularly to and from the parking lot. Overnight parking at the high school will not be allowed.

IF YOU SHOW UP TO GRAND TARGHEE WITHOUT A PARKING PASS, YOU WILL BE TURNED AROUND AND TOLD TO PARK AT THE HIGH SCHOOL.

Q: WHAT DOES THE COST OF CAMPING INCLUDE?

A: Camping includes up to four nights of camping beginning on Thursday 8.8.24 with check out on Monday 8.12.24. Each site will have a limit to the number of people and vehicles allowed. If your party exceeds the limit, please book additional sites to accommodate your group. Unused nights will be forfeited and may not be transferred to another guest.

Q: If I book camping, do I need to also book a 3-Day Parking Pass?

A: No. If you book camping or lodging you do not need to purchase an additional 3-Day Festival Parking Pass unless you will have more than the vehicle quantity allowed. 

Q: I CAN'T MAKE IT ANYMORE, CAN I TRANSFER MY Parking Pass or Campsite TO SOMEONE ELSE?

A: Yes. In the event you are unable to make it, you may transfer your parking pass or campsite to someone else directly through the TicketSignUp app. More information is forthcoming on transfers. 

Q: Are pets allowed? 

A: Pets are strongly discouraged for the safety of guests and pets themselves. If you were unaware of our policy, and do not have any other options for your pet, please respect the following:

  • Pets are permitted in the parking lots only and must be kept in the owner's vehicle when not being walked on leash in the parking lots. Please make sure your pets are safe and comfortable during the festival. We do not want to cause a nuisance with other guests attending the festival.
  • Pets are NOT allowed in the festival venue, tent camping areas or in the Plaza area, excluding service animals.
  • Pets are NOT permitted to run loose nor are pets to be secured outside of any vehicle when the owner is not present. 
  • Emotional Support Animals will be subject to the same policies as pets. 
Q: Are there hook-ups?

A: No.

Q: ARE THERE SHOWERS?

A: Yes, there will be a bank of showers on site near the campgrounds.

Q: I'm not camping, but can I visit a friend in the camping area?

A. No. You must have a camping wrist band to access any of the camping areas. 

Q: Are fires or grills allowed?

A: No open fires are allowed. Gas grills and stoves are ok. Use of grills and stoves is subject to change based on fire regulations.

Q: Is pool access included in my camping cost?

A: No. Pool access during the festival is only available for lodging guests. 

Q: Are there quiet hours?

A: Anyone who purchased a camping pass is welcome to camp at the festival. However, there are no official quiet hours and noisy neighbors are common. Please be respectful of those around you and try to limit any late night noise.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Q: WHAT TIME DOES THE VENUE OPEN?

A: The venue will open Friday at 3:00PM, Saturday at 12:00PM and Sunday at 11:00AM. There will be a line queue set up outside the entrance. 

Q: Can I leave my chair/sunshade etc set up in the venue?

A: Yes. You can leave your items inside the venue for the next day. Grand Targhee is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to items.

Q: WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE? WHAT SHOULD I PACK?

A: The weather at Targhee is incredibly wide ranging and can change rapidly. We advise that anyone attending the festival should be prepared for warm days and cold nights. Rain (or even snow) is always a possibility, so please prepare you and your family. A rain jacket, warm layers, sunscreen and bug spray are a good place to start when packing for the festival.

Q: CAN I BRING CHAIRS TO THE FESTIVAL?  

A: Yes, chairs and shade tents are allowed. But we have sections where each of these types of seating arrangements should be. If you have umbrellas or shade tents, please use the back of the festival so you do not obstruct other’s views. If you have high back chairs, the middle section of the festival is best. The front area is reserved for standing room. Please be as respectful of your festival neighbors as possible! We will have maps available at the show that outline these seating designations.

Q: IS THERE HANDICAP PARKING AVAILABLE?

A: Yes, there is limited handicap parking available. Please be aware that the terrain around the festival grounds is rocky, muddy and potentially difficult to navigate. We will do our best to accommodate everyones’ needs, but there are limitations to what we are capable of facilitating.

Q: I WANT TO DO MORE THAN JUST LISTEN TO MUSIC, WHAT OTHER ACTIVITIES ARE AVAIALABLE DURING THE FESTIVAL?

 Targhee is still fully operational during the festival. If you want to mountain bike, hike, eat at one of our restaurants, or play some disc golf, you are more than welcome to. The lifts are open for scenic chairlift rides at 9am and the bike park opens at 10am. The lifts close at 5pm.

Q: IS THERE WATER AVAILABLE?

A: Yes! There will be multiple water stations to fill up during the festival. Feel free to bring an empty water bottle to fill at the campground or at the venue.

Festival regulations

In order to make Targhee Bluegrass safe and sustainable for the long term, we have made a few changes to our operations and regulations.

  • Hard or soft sided coolers WILL NOT be allowed inside the festival venue this year. You can keep coolers in your car or at your campsite, they are just not allowed inside festival grounds. 
    • We will have more food and beverage options than ever to make sure you get all of the food and drink you need.
  • Backpacks will be subject to search.
  • Empty water bottles and sealed plastic bottles are allowed. We will have water stations to fill up water bottles. 
  • No outside alcohol.
  • No weapons of any kind.
  • Pets are STRONGLY DISCOURAGED for the safety of guests and pets themselves. If you were unaware of our policy, and do not have any other options for your pet, please respect the following:
    • Pets are permitted in the parking lots only and must be kept in the owner's vehicle when not being walked on leash in the parking lots.
    • Pets are NOT allowed in the festival venue, tent camping areas or in the Plaza area, excluding service animals.
    • Pets are NOT permitted to run loose nor are pets to be secured outside of any vehicle when the owner is not present. 
    • Emotional Support Animals will be subject to the same policies as pets. 

Starting Monday April 22nd, UPHILL TRAVEL WILL BE CLOSED  Monday – Thursday until further notice. 

Friday - Sunday the snow access at the base area will be limited due to ongoing construction projects. The recommended uphill route it the Teton Vista Traverse. Active heavy equipment, winch cables and other dangerous equipment will be on the mountain, so please ski with caution at all times.
