Conditions Update

Snow is falling this morning and the day is shaping up to be a classic winter storm day at Targhee. The heaviest snowfall rates are expected through the morning hours, easing briefly before picking up again this afternoon. Temperatures will stay cold in the teens with light to moderate west winds around 8–11 mph, helping keep the snow light with ratios near 16–17:1. Snow levels will steadily drop through the day from around 5,000 feet to near 3,000 feet, keeping conditions snowy top to bottom and setting the stage for a day of soft turns and hopefully some powder skiing.
