24/25 Season Recap

What an Incredible year!

As spring blossoms, memories bud from the 24/25 winter season. Faithful patrons of the "Ghee" relive face shots of cold smoke, blueish grand views from Rolling Thunder, and the savory taste of Trap beer and Wydaho Fries. The Tetons provided another 440-plus inches of snow this season, matching seasonal averages recorded over 20 years ago. After a productive opening week of snow, the resort experienced a brief dry spell in early December. Then, a massive 60" storm cycle slammed through the Tetons in late December and early January. February provided 120 inches of snowfall, with over 70" falling through Presidents Weekend. Due to an impressive snowpack, the resort was able to groom runs that are rarely groomed, like Headwall and Silver Jae.

Winter events!

Aside from deep days and long-lasting snow cycles, Targhee created an eventful weekend environment with a diverse array of competitions, both new and old. This year, the resort brought back the Banked Slalom. Competitors traveled far and wide to compete for a chance to win a spot in the 25/26 Mt Baker National Banked Slalom. Speed was the name of the game for more than just the Banked Slalom. Racers of all ages made their mark on Big Horn and Palmer's Raceway. Targhee hosted the Western High School Alpine Finals, bringing together the top downhill riders of their age to compete for glory. While race tracks were groomed, snow pillowed up on the Peaked cliff wall for three incredible weekends of Freeride. From three-star Junior Freeride week to two-star adult jamborees, there was no shortage of powerful lines. Skiers and snowboarders wrestled for big mountain honors, making statements for what is and is not possible in legendary Targhee runs, Reliable and Bobcat.

The Tetons Showed off this year

Snowy mountains under a smooth, cloud-capped sky.

Skiers raced to the summit of Peaked Mountain to catch infinitely unique views of cloud formations resting atop America's most iconic granite sentinels. While snow settles from massive dumps of precipitation, bluebird days continue to attract all types of visitors.

Heroes of Targhee

Targhee wouldn't be where it is today without our incredible employees. From high-spirited lifties to our facilities and grooming teams, Grand Targhee takes pride in its loyal and fun-loving staff. Every member of the Targhee team is here for one reason and one reason only: the Targhee Vibe. Rather than explaining what the vibe is all about, it's best to see it for yourself!

Jaelin Kauf makes History

Athlete in blue celebrates, holding a medal and flowers, against a blue backdrop.

Jaelin Kauf, a Grand Targhee native, completed a historic moguls season with three overall wins in single moguls and five wins in duals. Jaulen has competed in numerous world-ranked moguls competitions this season and is currently the world's number one-ranked female mogul skier.  Her hard work and determination are awe-inspiring. Grand Targhee is honored to support her ventures through the 24/25 season and her preparation and competition at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Make sure you follow along next season as Jaelin competes for 2 gold medals in Italy!

One Somber Note

Alex Pashley will be dearly missed by the Grand Targhee team and our guests.

Few people embody the spirit of snowboarding like Pash. He spent his career in the snowboard industry connecting brands, athletes and resorts with one another; acting as the linchpin that brought all of these entities together. Only a person with his magnetism could fill this important role. People followed his stoke wherever he went.

At Targhee, Pashley filled multiple roles; pow day hype-man, athlete team member and even photographer from time to time (see some of his amazing work from our summer MTB events in the last slides). But most importantly, the resort relied on Pashley to be a purveyor of the Targhee Vibe; using his infectious positivity to lift up every skier and rider on our slopes.

We were lucky to have him in our orbit.

Here's to another Incredible season. Cheers!

The resort is currently closed and will reopen on June 13th.
