The Behind the Scenes of Ski and Snowboard School
How It All Began:
This week we get personal with the man who’s been instrumental in growing the mountain’s Ski & Snowboard School program into what it is today. If you’ve spent time on the mountain over the years, chances are you’ve met Mark Hanson. He joined Grand Targhee Resort’s team more than 25 years ago; when his wife and him moved to the area from Eugene, Oregon. After all these years of teaching, Mark’s favorite reward is running into previous Ski and Snowboard School students who are utilizing the skills they’ve learned to fully embrace the outdoors.
Hear it First Hand From Mark Hanson:
How long have you been at Grand Targhee?
This is my 26th winter. Yes, time flies when you are having fun.

Emily joined Grand Targhee’s team after making the decision to move across the country in search of a place where she’d be able to fuse her passion, work, and love for the mountains into one. She’s decided, life at Targhee definitely beats the rat race she came from.
