(Alta, WY – November 14, 2013) Grand Targhee Resort is targeting Friday, November 22 to open for their 45th ski season with a promotion benefiting the Teton Valley Food Bank. Full details on terrain, lifts, snow conditions and hours of operation will be announced next week as well as additional 45th Ski Season opening celebration details.

Opening Weekend Ticket Pricing and Special benefitting the TetonValley Food Bank:
Grand Targhee Resort ticket pricing will be at the Early Season rate through December 20 with Adult single day lift tickets starting at $59, Senior tickets (65+) at $45, Junior ticket (6-12yrs) at $30 and Children (5 & under) FREE with paying adult.

Additionally, during opening weekend Friday, November 22 through Sunday, November 24 anyone wishing to donate two canned goods or non-perishable food items to the local Teton Valley Food Bank through the resort will receive $10 OFF their individual ticket purchase.

With a qualifying donation the $10 OFF Teton Valley Food Bank special tickets will be:

  • Adult tickets (13 & up) will be $49 for a full day
  • Senior tickets (65+) will be $35 for a full day
  • Junior tickets (6 – 12yrs) will be $20 for a full day
  • Child tickets (5 & under) with paying adult will be FREE
  • Half Day tickets will be at regular pricing

Donations will be accepted at the Activity Center and at the Ticket Booth. “The need for support and food items rises in the winter in Teton Valley and especially right before the Thanksgiving Holiday,” stated Sharon Froberg, Food Bank Coordinator, “we truly appreciate all that Grand Targhee Resort and the entire Teton Valley Community does to support the Food Bank.”

The Teton Valley Food Bank will accept and needs the following items, through Grand Targhee Resort. The Top Ten items needed at the Food Bank include:

  1. Cereal
  2. Peanut Butter
  3. Canned tomatoes, tomato sauce and spaghetti sauce
  4. Canned tuna/chicken
  5. Pasta meals (Hamburger Helper/Rice-A-Roni)
  6. Canned fruit
  7. Chili/soups
  8. Canned vegetables
  9. Rice
  10. Pasta
