In the summertime, our corner of the Tetons bursts to life with adventure, both at Grand Targhee Resort and in the surrounding area. Whether you're setting out on an alpine hike straight from the resort or embarking on a whitewater rafting trip down a nearby river, there's no shortage of ways to explore.
Just a short 15-minute drive from the resort, Teton Valley embodies the spirit of the Wild West, offering incredible local food, unique shops, and a welcoming mountain-town vibe. Stroll through Driggs or Victor to browse outdoor stores, art galleries, and boutiques, or venture farther to experience the stunning landscapes of our National Parks. Visit the National Museum of Wildlife Art across from the National Elk Refuge, or explore the lively town of Jackson Hole.
No matter where your adventure takes you, we've outlined some of our favorite summer activities to help you get started.
Scenic Chairlift Rides
Take a ride on the Dreamcatcher chairlift to the peak of Fred’s Mountain. Get an aerial view of Grand Targhee as you climb 2,000 feet to the top. Unload at the top and enjoy a 360-degree view that will take your breath away.
Bike Park
Our bike park is worth the hype. With riding for every level of rider, from gentle, undulating terrain to gnarly, steep rock gardens, you’ll find what you’re looking for here in the Tetons.

Pool Day Passes & Memberships
When the sun is sweltering, you’d do well to cool off in our outdoor pool. Located slopeside, you can splish, splash, and swim all you like. And it’s open for public swimming at certain hours, too.
Swim Lessons
This summer, Learn2Swim LLC is offering private and semi-private swim lessons at Targhee for all ages and abilities—even babies and adults with special needs. Their expert instructors focus on safety, skill-building, and fun, creating a supportive environment to boost confidence and swimming ability for everyone.
Stan's Fun Zone Activities
There’s more to the Ghee than mountains in the summer. We’ve got a base area full of engaging activities, from climbing to bungee trampolines, for your young adventurers to discover.
Teton Adventure Challenge
Embark on the Teton Adventure Challenge—three fun-filled missions across the mountain where you’ll explore, climb, create, and earn prizes for your efforts!
Fred's Adventure Camp
A fun-filled camp for kids ages 6-12, featuring exciting weekly themes like biking, wilderness survival, science, and animals—because learning in nature is cool!
Guided Horseback Adventures

18-hole Disc Golf
Test your aim (and your altitude lungs) at the 18-hole Grand Targhee Disc Golf Course, winding through scenic aspen meadows at 8,000 feet with a mix of technical shots and bomber drives. Open to all skill levels and first-come-first-serve, grab a map and a cold drink, then let those discs fly farther than you ever thought possible!
