
Multi-Week Ski & Snowboard Lessons
BOBCATS & BIG CATS
Bobcats & Big Cats are multi-week skiing and snowboarding lesson programs for children. These multi-week programs are designed to foster the love for winter sports, improve skills, independence, balance, and a great way to make new friends.
Each session includes 4 weekly lessons. Groups are broken down by age and skill level to make learning fun and safe. Your children will love learning from our instructors in the Kids Fun Zone and beyond.
Parents, please provide a lunch for your child for BobCat lessons. We hope you enjoy the mountain while your children are doing the same with our Professional Ski & Snowboard Instructors.

We recommend purchasing a season pass for children 6 and over.
As always children 5 and under ski for free.
Mulligan: If you miss any session for any reason, enjoy a separate half-priced group lesson at any time.

Availability:
- Lessons are either on Saturday or Sunday.
- Bobcat sessions can be either at 9:45am – 12:00pm or 1:00pm – 3:15pm
- Bigcat Sessions are at 9:45am – 3:15pm*
*Lunch is not provided; parents, please send your children with lunch.
How to Book:
We are very excited that your child will be joining our Bobcats & Bigcats program. Before you start the booking process, online or through our reservations team at 307-353- 2300 ext. 1800, please gather the following information for each person:
- Session
- Name
- Date of Birth
- Weekly on: Saturday or Sunday
- Discipline
- Ability Level
- Bobcat Sessions: also choose preferred time (9:45am – 12:00pm or 1:00pm – 3:15pm)
- Sign our Winter Activity Waiver. (One time for the season)
You may email this information ahead of time to reservations@grandtarghee.com to expedite your booking process through the call center.
Cancellation Policy:
Session cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance and will be charged a $25 processing fee. Same day cancellation or no show will forfeit the entire booking cost. Every effort will be made to reschedule the sessions with 24-hour advance notice, change is subject to availability.
If a lesson is missed, you may invoke our Mulligan policy: schedule a new group lesson at 50% off the regular rate.
Check-in Information:
Winter Activities Liability Waiver MUST be signed in advance. Check-in at the designated areas listed below 15 minutes ahead of the lesson scheduled time. Skiers and riders must be dressed, geared up, and ready to start the lesson. Instructors will meet the group at the scheduled start time and will check the students in.

ABILITY LEVELS
LEVEL 1: FIRST TIME BEGINNER
- BEGINNER BEARS
- First-time Skier or Snowboarder. Never been on skis or a snowboard.
LEVEL 2: BEGINNER CARPET AREA
- CARPET BEARS
- Students have skied or snowboarded once or twice but have not mastered stopping and turning or the chairlift. Likely riding the Papoose Conveyor, but not riding the chair lift yet.
LEVEL 3: NOVICE
- CRUZIN’ COYOTES
- Students are skiing or snowboarding on green slopes and riding Shoshone chair lift. Students are able to stop independently. Snowboarders are exploring linking turns and skiers are linking basic turns.
LEVEL 4: INTERMEDIATE
- HIGH FLYING EAGLES
- Students are mostly parallel skiing or linking turns snowboards on blue slopes. Building skills on tougher blue slopes.
LEVEL 5: ADVANCED/INTERMEDIATE
- FRED’S SHREDDERS
- Students ski & ride confidently on blue and black slopes, on and off-trail. Skiers are making strong parallel turns. Snowboarders are linking turns confidently. Can vary turn sizes and competent in various snow conditions.
