Advanced Lift Ticket Purchase Required

FACE COVERINGS ARE MANDATORY

Please make sure to come with multiple face coverings for your trip. The weather and your breath will dampen them. Face coverings are required at the resort in the following area:

  • In The Main Plaza
  • In all lift lines – give your party room – social distance from the party in front of you
  • In all lines
  • Inside all buildings
  • On the shuttle
  • On the lifts, if riding with someone not in your party

There are no exceptions to the rules. We need everyone to follow the rules to keep the season safe and operations open.

This coming winter is going to be much different than the ones in the past. We have put precautions and plans in place to operate November 20, 2020 – April 11, 2021, opening day conditions permitting. It is going to take the cooperation of all guests and employees to keep this a safe and healthy winter. The COVID environment is ever-changing and could disrupt operations and our plan at any moment. We may have to make quick operational changes to comply with local, state, and government authorities.

We are asking you to support and respect the decisions we have made so we can continue to operate. It is going to take all of us working together to enjoy every possible powder day we can. We are asking that you minimize your time in our buildings and maximize the time outdoors. Please use your cars as a basecamp while gearing up for the morning. We will have additional outside seating and heaters, but access to buildings will be limited due to capacity restrictions. Our mandatory face coverings will continue throughout winter; face coverings will be required inside all buildings, while waiting to load the lifts, riding the lifts, and when a six-foot distancing cannot be maintained.

Our employees undergo daily health screens and additional training on COVID safety. We are continuing with increased frequency of cleaning in high trafficked areas and high touch surfaces. We are using CDC approved disinfecting solutions to clean throughout the resort and our vacation rentals, and we are using electro static sprayers in our public areas and UV light wands in our guest rooms and vacation rentals.

We are encouraging advanced purchases of day lift tickets, gear rentals, and ski and snowboard lessons. We will be shipping out all season passes this winter. Please make sure to read the information closely and help us expedite service.

Thank you for an incredible summer and doing your part in getting us through to the end. Here’s to a safe and healthy winter. We can’t wait to see you on the mountain and share the love of powder!

  • Trouble breathing
  • Persistent pain or pressure in the chest
  • New confusion
  • Inability to wake or stay awake

Yes, face coverings are mandatory in all buildings, while waiting in lines, loading, riding, and unloading the lifts, during ski and snowboard lessons, riding the cat during cat skiing, and when a 6-foot distancing cannot be maintained.

Face coverings are mandatory for anyone over the age of 5.

There are no exceptions to our face covering policy.

Grand Targhee Resort will no longer be offering a mask or face covering exemption, effective immediately. The resort continues to operate with the most up to date information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the U.S. Department of Labor Occupation Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and state and local public health agencies to impose legitimate safety requirements necessary for a safe operation based on real health risks.

These safety requirements are consistent with regulations about direct threats from the ADA and are consistent with advice from the CDC and public health authorities. A direct threat is a significant risk to the health or safety of others that cannot be eliminated by a modification of policies, practices, or procedures, or by the provision of auxiliary aids or services. The resort is no longer offering accommodations for guests who are unable to wear face coverings.

If you have already purchased a lift ticket tor a future day and are unable to wear face covering, you may receive a refund. If you have already purchased a season pass and are unable to wear a face covering, you will receive a refund minus days skied. Season passholders must submit a request in writing to seasonpass@grandtarghee no later than December 16, 2020.

Guests must contact the resort 72 hours before their arrival of any unique accessibility or accommodation concerns. Please email exemption.request@grandtarghee.com.

Thank you for your continued support as we work through operating with COVID-19. We will continue to adjust our policies as we see fit to operate safely for all. It is going to take all of us to make this season safe. Wear a face covering, social distance, and respect the guidelines we have put in place.

We are limiting the number of guests in our ski and snowboard programs to ensure proper social distancing.

We are limiting the number of guests inside our building to ensure proper social distancing and unnecessary crowding. There will be no congregating inside any of our facilities.

Guests are required to wear a face covering inside all buildings, during lessons, when ordering food, walking around restaurants, loading, riding, and unloading lifts, and when a six food distance cannot be maintained.

It is recommended that you come prepared with your own face covering. “Buffs” should be a part of your winter dress as it will also help with the cold temperatures and sunny days.  You may want to think about packing more than one face covering, as the weather could dampen it.

If you do not have a face covering you may purchase a “buff” from Teton Mountain Outfitters or The Board Shop. We will have a limited supply of face masks for guests who enter our facilities.

Advanced lift ticket purchase is required for all day single and mulit-day lift tickets. Reservations are not required for season passholders or  Mountain Collective Passholders.

If you plan on purchasing tickets with a club card, 5th or 6th grade pass, children 5 & Under tickets, Nordic, adaptive, military discount or other discount programs INCLUDING the season pass Friends and Family Program, you will need to present your card at the ticket window for purchase. You may email activity@grandtarghee.com with questions. We have selected a ticket release quantity which we feel will allow us to support our passholders and visitors. Please be patient with this process!

No, you do not have to make a reservation. More information to come on where you can pick up your pass.

Refund or deferral requests must be submitted to seasonpass@grandtarghee.com prior to midnight on November 2, 2020.

No, we are not guaranteeing parking for season passholders or advance purchasers. We have secured the necessary approvals to restrict access to Ski Hill Road when parking is at or near capacity. The shuttle will be your best option as it won’t be restricted if the road is being managed.

We will also have large highway signs in Driggs and Alta with up-to-date information regarding our parking lots and capacity.

The best place for your season pass is where you can easily present it to our ticket checkers. A lanyard works well as long as you have it ready to go and are presenting it to our ticket checkers. You may also purchase a season pass sleeve that fits around your arm from Teton Mountain Outfitters.

Your lift ticket should be visible and easy to access for our ticket checkers. Please make sure that we will be able to access it within an arm’s reach. Your jacket’s side pocket is a great, visible location.
