Wind through wooded glades, aspen groves, and scenic meadows on our groomed Nordic trail system. Whether you’re classic cruising, skate skiing, or snowshoeing, this is the peaceful side of winter with plenty of fresh mountain air.  

 

Know before you go 
  • Nordic Trails are typically groomed Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Large snow amounts may affect the grooming schedule, please check the grooming report for the most up to date information.
  • Check the Lifts & Trails Report for trail status.
  • Shared-use trail etiquette – be kind, give space, keep dogs under control
  • On heavy snow days (> 3”) Nordic trails may close for safety and grooming efficiency.
  • Stay on designated trails; resort boundaries are not marked.
  • Keep headphone volume reasonable and eyes up for other users and ops vehicles.
  • Snowshoers: please avoid the set classic track; use the trail edge.
  • Dogs must have visible day ticket or season pass.
  • Over-snow vehicles may be encountered at any time, please give them plenty of space.

Tickets are required. You can access the Nordic trail system with a day ticket, Nordic Season Pass, or a full-mountain winter season pass or lift ticket.

HOW TO BOOK

Before you start the booking process online or through our reservations team at 307-353-2300 x1, please gather the following information for each guest: 

  • First and Last Name
  • Date of Birth

Trail Information & Rules

  • Nordic Trail ticket or Season Pass is required to access the Nordic Trail System.  
  • Hours of operation: 9:00am – 4:00pm daily.
  • Grand Targhee Resort’s Winter Basics Trail System will be closed when it snows more than 3″.
  • Nordic trails are typically groomed, and the classic track set, on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, conditions permitting.
  • Resort boundaries are not marked. It is recommended to stay on designated trails.
  • Trail system is Share the trail. Treat other users with courtesy and respect.
  • Keep the volume on your headphones at a reasonable level.
  • Dogs must have a ticket or season pass.
  • Over-snow vehicles may be encountered at any time, please give them plenty of space.  

Dog policies

  • No more than two dogs per trail user.
  • Each dogs must have a visible day ticket or season pass.
  • Leash within 50 yards of the parking lot; always keep dogs within sight and under control.
  • Do not let dogs chase wildlife.
  • Pick up and dispose of all waste immediately—no trailside bag drops.
  • Courtesy first: yield appropriately to skiers and snowshoers. 
VIOLATION OF DOG POLICIES MAY RESULT IN A $250 FINE AND LOSS OF DOG AND/OR OWNER PASS PRIVILEGES. 

cancellation policy

Season Passes  

  • Season Passes non-refundable and non-transferable. Lost or stolen passes can be reprinted for $10. If you forget your pass, a new pass will be printed and reprint fee applied. 

Day Tickets 

  • All Nordic tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable

Rentals 

  • Cancellations made at least 72 hours in advance will be charged a $25 processing fee per rental unit. Cancellations made within 72 hours of service date, or no shows will forfeit the total cost of the rental.
