Thank you for all the feedback in response to our decision to discontinue the family season pass after April 30, 2018. We do understand your frustration, but we want to be fair in offering the same products to all guests. We understand that the word “traditional” family has hit a lot of you in different ways. We have a black and white rule based on tax filing status to qualify for the family pass. Our use of the word “traditional” family is based on the need for families to provide tax returns.
We don’t want to continue to determine who is a family. We are comfortable with the products and pricing that we offer, and we are leaving the decision up to our guests to bundle passes as they see fit.
Grand Targhee Resort continues to be a family friendly resort. We offer an incredible value with over 2,600 skiable acres and priced passes available for every age group. Children under 5 always ski for free. We offer a free beginner area with our Papoose Lift Ticket, discounted tickets to those skiing on our Shoshone chairlift, and a Learn to Ski package the whole month of January to get new skiers to the mountain. We support the local and regional area with countless numbers of donations every year. We support local businesses, and we care for our community, employees and guests.
